Multiple Myeloma Stole My Angel Mom
Heaven gained another beautiful angel on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 @ 6:15am.
Elizabeth Marie Rose aka "Betty" has gained her heavenly wings and passed through the Gates of Heaven. Elizabeth was 89 years old when she suddenly became ill, when Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells destroyed her body. It caused her to develop Pneumonia (an infection in her lungs), and very quickly destroyed all of her vital organs. Within two very short weeks, we witnessed this beautiful woman’s health decline and she took her last breath here on Earth. She is now dancing in Heaven with some of the best!! I can hear the Creole music, Mommy Dearest!
Elizabeth leaves behind five children; Donna, Kathleen, Kennard, Lisa and Paula. She now joins her eldest daughter Diana in Heaven. She also leaves behind many loving Grandchildren; Jason, Tyrone, Capricia, Tarnya, Khaleel, Mark, Derek, Romero, Carolina, and Aleah. She is also survived by nine Great-Grandchildren. Elizabeth leaves behind two brothers, Frank and Nelson Gomes, and joins her siblings Jessie, Leo, and Marie in Heaven. Her loving parents Adeline, and Braz Gomes are also in Heaven….Oh what a party they must be having!! Aunty/Cuz Betty also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and close family members.
She will be sadly missed. She had a wonderful smile, and sense of humor. Her blunt honesty, and gentle ways will forever be missed.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at:
Casper Funeral Home 187 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA 02127 from 12-3pm.
A memorial and repass will follow a few weeks later when more family members are able to attend.
