Rogowski, Louise Elizabeth, age 64 of Boston passed away at home on February 15, 2018 after a period of failing health.
Born in Springfield, she was the youngest daughter of Leopold Joseph Rogowski and Cecilia Sophia Cebula and grew up in Chicopee Falls. She attended St. Stanislaus School and was a graduate of the Chicopee High School Class of 1971. She attended U Mass Amherst for three years majoring in psychology. She leaves two sisters, Ann J.Chapdelaine and her husband Stephen of North Attleborough, MA. and Maxine C. Robichaud of Rome, ME. , 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 grandnieces, 2 grandnephews. She is also survived by her aunt Evelyn of CO. and uncle Ted of NY and many first & second cousins throughout the US and Poland.
Louise leaves many friends and caregivers in Boston where she lived for many years. She retired several years ago from work at Children’s Hospital in Boston through the Institute for Community Inclusion.
There will be two Masses held on Thursday, March 15th. The first Funeral Mass will be held for relatives and friends from the Chicopee area at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St. Chicopee, MA Thursday morning at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee, MA. The second Memorial Mass for her friends and caregivers in Boston at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 68 William Cardinal O’Connell Way, Boston, MA Thursday at 12:30 pm. Donations in her memory may be sent to St. Stanislaus School Library 534 Front St. Chicopee, MA. 01013 to purchase books on mental illness.
