Anthony Joseph DiPerna of Somerville died on Saturday, March 3, in Nashua, NH. A lifelong Somerville resident, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Biancomano) DiPerna. Anthony was a longtime Somerville attorney, a Colonel in the U.S. Army, and recruiter for West Point Military Academy.
He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Marchant) DiPerna. Anthony was the loving companion of Caroline Crouch and the dear brother of John DiPerna and his wife Jean of Malden, and the late Carol Angelli, Albert DiPerna, Elizabeth Everett and her husband Robert. Anthony is survived by his loving niece and God-daughter Lauren Monty and her husband Al of Merrimack, NH, and many more loving nieces, nephews and God-children.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, March 10 at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine Of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Friday, March 9, from 5 through 8 PM.
