Eleanor A. Dolce, 93, of Smithfield Road, North Providence, formerly of Smith Avenue, Greenville, died peacefully surrounded by her family and caregivers on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Hopkins Manor. She was the wife of Louis J. Dolce, Sr. They had been married for 74 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Florinda (Conti) Pompeii. She most recently lived in North Providence after moving from Greenville. Eleanor had worked in banking for over 30 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by her son Louis J. Dolce, Jr and his wife, Adele of Smithfield, her two grandchildren: Louis Dolce and Melissa Clesas and her husband, Bill, her two great grandchildren, Nicolas and Emily Raposo and her siblings: Mary LaMoia, Christine Phaneuf and John Pompeii. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Corvese and Anna LaNinfa.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10am in Mary Mother of Mankind, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. Visiting hours respectfully omitted.
