Carolyn S. Walter, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away at the Medford Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Medford on Sunday morning, March 4, 2018. She was 85 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on August 6, 1932, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank B. and Helen (Bailey) Walter. Carolyn was a graduate of Middlebury College. She had worked as a Teacher at the Kingsley School in Boston for learning disabled children and also the Osgood School in Medford.
As well as her passion for children's development, she was a staunch advocate in animal rights supporting many causes and enjoyed spending time with her family in these pursuits. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Lisa Russell of Kennebunk, Maine, Janise Hurley of Sandown, New Hampshire and Leslie Brunaccini of Medford.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Noon. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 10 to Noon. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
