Catherine A. (Broderick) Eisenmann, 82, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts died on March 4th at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. Broderick, Sr. and Susan L. (Monahan) Broderick. She is predeceased by her siblings Thomas F. Broderick, Joan (Broderick) Nelson, and Mary T (Broderick) Kimtis.
Catherine was a graduate of Stoughton High School and spent several years working in the administrative offices of the Stoughton Welfare Office before marrying and raising a family.
She was a resident of East Bridgewater since 1965, an active communicant of St. John’s Parish, and a CCD teacher. Catherine was an avid reader, had a real estate license, along with many other interests, but chose to devote her time and talents to her husband and family. Her warm smile, sense of humor, and kindness will be dearly missed.
Catherine was the loving and devoted wife of 59 years to Joseph H. Eisenmann; beloved mother to
Mark J. Eisenmann and wife Denise of East Bridgewater, Susan M Williamson and husband Matthew of Brooklyn, Connecticut, Thomas F. Eisenmann and wife Mary Beth of East Bridgewater, and Kevin J. Eisenmann of East Bridgewater. She also leaves behind four remarkable grandchildren that were the light of her life: Nicole M. Eisenmann, Joseph D. Eisenmann, Patrick J. Williamson and Elizabeth A. Williamson. Her brother in-law Donald Kimtis of Hyannis, Massachusetts remained a good friend and held a special place in her heart. Loving nephews, Bob and Jim Nelson of New Hampshire, were a wonderful comfort to Catherine over the years. She also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews and friends.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Old Colony Hospice and Unit B3 of Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital for their kindness and care.
Catherine’s strength, courage, and unwavering support of her family will be forever remembered and cherished.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services to be held on Friday, March 9 at 11:00am in St. John Church, 210 Central Street, East Bridgewater, MA. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
