Claire E. St. Onge, 90, formerly of Old River Rd., Manville and Kennedy Manor in Woonsocket died Sunday March 4, 2018 at Coventry Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Coventry. She was the loving wife of the late Irjean A. “John” St. Onge.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Augustina (Marcotte) Delage. She resided in Manville for most of her life.
Claire worked at Lincoln & Lane Heating & Air Conditioning as a bookkeeper for many years.
Along with her husband she was an adept ballroom dancer. Claire was talented at quilting, knitting and sewing and enjoyed listening to classical music. As members of the Royal Travelers Claire and John took trips to a number of destinations in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.
Claire was a longtime communicant of St. James Parish.
She is survived by a daughter Florence Aubin and her husband Richard of Coventry. She was the sister of the late Andre Delage. She is also survived by three grandchildren Jeff Aubin of Ill., Keith Aubin of RI and Lauren Benz of CA., and four great-grandchildren Ruby, Jack, Kingston, and newly born Thomas who came into the world just a few hours after Claire passed away.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St. Manville.
