Obituary

Thomas Stodolski of Nashua NH passed away on February 18, 2018, at the age of 73, after a brief struggle to recover from a head injury caused by a fall. We were not prepared to say good-bye to him so soon. He started his life in Worcester, MA, but spent most of his adult life in Westford, MA and Nashua, NH. Tom was a man who lived to share his passion for ballooning with everyone he met. He gave many people the thrill of a lifetime to float above the earth for a moment or two. As a result, Tom was an honorary member of communities around the country, from the Southwest to Pennsylvania, New York and all of New England - every place he inflated his balloon. Tom was proud of his work as an electrical engineer to develop one of the first pagers ever made. He leaves behind a daughter and son, Chris and Todd Stodolski and their spouses Glenn and Lauren, a beloved nephew, Mark Stodolski, a sister Rita Grimaldo, three grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Antoinette (Nadolny) Stodolski and a brother Stanley Stodolski. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, he received a Bachelor Degree from University of Lowell (formerly Lowell Technical Institute) and his Master Degree from Syracuse University
There will be a celebration of Tom’s life on April 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Maironis Park, 52 S. Quinsigamond Ave. Shrewsbury, MA. Donations in Tom’s memory can be made to the Adirondack Balloon Festival, 443 Queensbury Ave, Queensbury, NY 12804 or to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Gift Processing 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400 Phoenix, AZ 85016.
