DeAngelo, Ruth Gloria (Hovey) 78, Of West Roxbury passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born on September 23, 1939 in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met the love of her life, the late Joseph D. DeAngelo. They were happily married for 23 years until his passing in 1985. She is the beloved mother of Daniel J. DeAngelo and his wife Ilene of West Roxbury, MA and Francie DeAngelo Lynch and her husband Rob of Tarzana, CA. She was the proud grandmother of Joseph, Stephen, Robert and Thomas DeAngelo and Devin, Caitlin, Peter and Eamon Lynch. She is also survived by her sister Patricia (Hovey) Cordova and her husband Eddie of Albuquerque and aunts, Marcella Garcia of Albuquerque, Kathryn Paroline of Pasadena, CA and uncle, Eustacio Lucero of Rio Rancho. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on Maranacook Lake in Maine. She cherished the friendship of many lifelong friends, neighbors and colleagues at the Law office of Bruce Weinstein. Ruth was loved by her family and brought joy to all of them. She will be deeply missed. As she intended, she will be laid to rest at the side of her husband in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA. Family and friends will honor and remember Ruth’s life by gathering for visiting hours in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Wednesday, March 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, March 8, at 9:00 am before leaving in procession to St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
