Obituary

Constance B. “Connie” Masse, 76, of Woonsocket died Sunday February 25, 2018 at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Andre A. Masse who passed away in 2005.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Emile and Emma (Mercure) Brien. Connie was a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Connie was employed at Hanora Spinning Inc. for over 30 years before retiring.
Connie was active in a number of organizations in the community including serving as treasure of the Fairmont Post# 85 and was an active member of All Saints Parish. She was a shrewd and adept card player in pitch leagues at Club Lafayette. A friendly and outgoing lady, Connie also thoroughly enjoyed trips to Twin River.
Connie is survived by three sons Alan A. Masse and his wife Kim of North Smithfield, Michael A. Masse and his companion Denise and Ronald E. Masse and his wife Louise and a daughter Trisha A. Williams all of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Conrad Brien of Bellingham and the late Robert, Edouard “Peewee”, and Roger Brien and Jeanne LaBonne. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families. Constance is also survived by her companion John Sawtelle, Sr. of Woonsocket.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday March 10th at 11:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd. Suite 3004 Warwick, RI. 02886. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
