Nelson Barros Semedo (62) of Brockton died February 28th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Diva Maria (Andrade) Semedo.
He was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde son of Idalina Barros Semedo of Brockton and the late Eugenio Barros Semedo. Nelson was a food technician for Concord Foods. He loved old western films, his favorite soccer team Benfica, traditional Cape Verdean music, the Blues including his favorite artist Otis Redding, he was also known to be a family man and to live larger than life.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by 3 sons, Nelson Bruno Semedo of Germany, Walter Patrick and Eugelson Theodoro Monteiro Barros Semedo both of Brockton, 2 daughters, Patricia Semedo of Quincy and Winy Gomes of Brockton, a brother Zé Semedo of Cabo Verde, a sister Zita Fragoso of Brockton, 7 grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
