Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Marjorie A. (Cronin) O’Keefe, age 70, a resident of Tewksbury for 33 years, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
She was the beloved wife of James F. O’Keefe, with whom she would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on February 15, 2006.
Born in Cambridge on January 3, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Abigail (Doyle) Cronin.
Mrs. O’Keefe was raised in Cambridge. She attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and graduated from Matignon High School in 1952.
She resided in Somerville until moving to Tewksbury in 1972.
Mrs. O’Keefe was a communicant of St. Williams Church of Tewksbury.
Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was employed as a supervisor at the Middlesex North Registry of Deeds, where she worked for over 15 years.
She was a member of the Angel Cancer Support Group.
Mrs. O’Keefe enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Kathy Lawton and her husband Chuck of Tyngsboro, Patty Barnes and her husband Bill of Tewksbury, Stephen O’Keefe and his wife Brenda of Lowell, Christine Merrick and her husband Rick of Tewksbury, Julie Richter and her husband Bob of Billerica, John O’Keefe and his wife Kate of Fayetteville, NC and Lynne Crowley and her husband Jeff of Seattle, WA; fourteen grandchildren; Rachel and Derek Lawton, Joshua and Sarah Barnes, Abby, Lauren and Julia O’Keefe, Ricky and Matthew Merrick, Danny, Bryan and Meghan Richter and Devlyn and Tanner Crowley; two sisters; Eileen Gallison and her husband Stan of Billerica, Maureen Cardullo and her husband John of Merrimack, NH; one brother; Jimmy Cronin and his wife Sally of Billerica; her sister-in-law; Michele Cronin of Weymouth; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. O’Keefe was the sister of the late John Cronin.
Calling hours Monday, November 7th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Tuesday, November 8th, 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 8th, 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the A.L.S. Angel Fund, 649 Main St., Wakefield, MA 01880 are requested.
