Laconia---Dennis Ronald Heaton II (Chip), 51, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2018. He was born in Louisville, KY, but lived most of his life in New Hampshire. He was a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School and held an Associate Degree from Colorado Institute of Arts. He was preceded in rest by his father, D. Ronald Heaton; paternal grandparents Hugh and Harriette Heaton; maternal grandparents Ralph and Dorothy Scheibel; and Aunt Connie Glover. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Scheibel Heaton; sister, Rhonda Heaton Pepin (her husband, Tom); brothers Douglas Heaton (his wife, Riza), Nickolas Heaton, Jason Heaton (his wife, Leslie); aunt Phyllis Peklenk; uncle Gordon Scheibel (his wife, Stephanie); nephews Kyle Pepin and Jackson Heaton; nieces Madelyn Heaton, Alexis and Allissa Verrill and Sadie Heaton; extended family and many friends.
Dennis was a big hearted person for whom the phrase “live, laugh, love” was a fitting description of his life. His favorite saying in recent time was, “Nothing but love.” He was an enthusiastic athlete in his youth, a diligent worker and so enjoyed friends and family. His incomparable sense of humor was a hallmark of his personality. The music he wrote, performed and produced was his extraordinary talent and it gave him and those around him much pleasure.
His passing will leave a big void for those who loved him but are comforted by the words of Henry Scott-Holland, “I am waiting for you, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.”
A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a future date.
