Elaine G. Magaw, 90, formerly of Smith Avenue, Greenville, died Monday, February 26, 2018 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the widow of Donald E. Magaw who died in June, 1997.
Born in Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Johnson) Schenck. She had been a lifelong resident of Smithfield.
She is survived by her son Robert W. Magaw of Manville, her grandchildren: Jennifer and William, her daughter in law, Darlene (Briggs) Magaw, her brothers: Robert and Roger Schenck. She was the sister of the late Alfred and Audrey Schenck, Dorothy Reynolds, and Barbara Ford.
Her funeral service and burial will be held Monday at 1pm in Swan Point Cemetery Chapel,585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Association, American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
