Harold E. “Gene” Gardner, 80, passed away February 27,2018.
He was a Catholic by faith and retired as the owner of Gilbert A. Gardner and Son Roofing.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Estherellen and Gilbert Gardner; son-in-law Michael Marsolek.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty J. Gardner; daughters Angie E. Crawford (John), Gail Marsolek and Paula J. Young (Tim); five grandchildren Jessica, Katie, Jennifer, Brandon and Kaitlin and four great grandchildren Mason, Breonna, Alayna and Bailey.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Friday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
