Obituary

Boylston: Burleigh W. Stanton, 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the Odd Fellows Home in Worcester. He leaves his wife Suzanne (Wright) Stanton, 3 sons- James Stanton of Boylston, Paul and his wife Patty Stanton of Auburn, Jeffrey Stanton and his fiance Tracy Fuller; 3 daughters- Melissa and her husband Thomas of AZ, Julie Clark of FL, and Leslie Neilson of Holden; 10 grandchildren; a sister Elizabeth and her husband Philip Anderson Sr. of Boylson; and 2 nephews Philip and his wife Heather Anderson and Matthew and his wife Brittany Anderson.

Burleigh was born in Worcester, son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Moore) Stanton. He graduated from Classical High School and Worcester Jr. College. He proudly served his country in the US Army and worked as a project manager at Jamesbury Corp. for many years. Most recently he worked as a logger. Burl was a member of 1st Congregational Church in Boylston, The Lions Club, the Masons, ant enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and hockey.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the 1st Congregational Church in Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. To leave an online condolence message, please click link.
