WAYLAND: Joan M. (Livoli) Boccadoro, 77, died peacefully and comfortably at her residence in Wayland surrounded by the loving care of her family on Sunday, February 25, 2018 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on November 29, 1940 the daughter of the late Amando Livoli and Genovetta “Jennie” (Caruso) Livoli.
Joan is survived by her devoted and beloved husband of 57 years, Salvatore J. Boccadoro of Wayland. Loving mother of Marie Duffy and her husband Michael Duffy of Natick, Joseph M. Boccadoro and his wife Helena Boccadoro of Ashland and the late Anthony P. Boccadoro who died on August 11, 1984. Cherished grandmother of Andrew Boccadoro of Wayland; Cheryl-Anne Boccadoro and Anthony Boccadoro both of Ashland, Gina Duffy and Kyle Duffy both of Natick. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joan has been a resident of Wayland for over 40 years and spent her formative years in Watertown. She graduated from Watertown High School. For over 15 years, Joan was the Administrative Assistant for the Athletic Director for the Weston School System retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed quilting and gardening and was a member of the Waltham Garden Club for several years. Joan was a communicant of Saint Zepherin Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, summering in Wareham and the many friends that she knew. Joan will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who loved and cared for her.
Visitations will be held at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte. 27), Wayland.
Private family interment will be held in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.
