In Taunton, February 24, 2018 Jean (Smith) Martin beloved wife of sixty eight years to Joseph Martin died at Morton Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Taunton, Jean was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Brown) Smith. She was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1948. Jean was a retired secretary for Taunton High School Guidance Councilor’s Office for over twenty years. Jean was the loving mother of Sallie Changery and her husband Robert of Lakeville, Mary Andelman and her husband Gene of Maine and Joan Johnson and her husband Raymond of Silver Springs, FL. Nana of Aaron Baptista and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington, Rebecca Changery of Jamaica Plain, Jacob Changery of Freetown, Lindsay Andelman of Maine, Travis W. Johnson of West Palm Beach, FL, Corrine Jean Johnson of Orlando, FL, Sarah Mae Johnson of Orange City, FL. Great Grandmother of Josie, Sam and Nate Baptista all of Wilmington. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Saturday, March 3rd from 10-11 am followed by a prayer service at 11 am. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
