Ella Faye (Payton) Teague, 73, died February 21, 2018 at her home in Kokomo.
She was born on October 19, 1944 in Anderson, the daughter of Ollie and Susie (Miller) Payton. Ella was a resident of Anderson for most of her life until moving to Kokomo in 2014. She was the bookkeeper for her husband's roofing business, Teague Roofing and was an active member of the Kokomo Landmark Baptist Church. Before moving, she was active with First Baptist Church in Daleville. She enjoyed writing and performing vocal music over the years.
She is survived by her two children; Lisa Marie Smith and Bradford Ollie Teague of Anderson, four grandchildren; Brandi Smith, Traci Smith, Cody Teague, and Haile Teague and great grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Levi Burris and Riley Jackson; two siblings, Wandavee (Robert) Morphew of Kokomo, Sylvia Marling of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Teague, her parents, and sister, Mae Dean Hensley. Her brother Oppie Lee Payton died February 26, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 2 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Robert Morphew. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be given to Landmark Baptist Church in Kokomo or First Baptist Church in Daleville.
