Selby Glen McMillian, Sr., 67, of Ocilla passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Greg Shepherd officiating. Mr. McMillian will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born December 17, 1950 in Union, Mississippi, Mr. McMillian was the son of the late Selby Frank Ellinburg and Hazel Marie Wilkerson Kirkland. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Justin McMillian and two sisters, Helen Porter and Linda McMillian. Before retiring, he was a self-employed truck driver and loved driving 18-wheelers. He was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church in Irwin County. He loved playing the guitar, fishing, gardening, Nascar racing and riding his lawn mower.
Mr. McMillian is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Lynn and Stacey McMillian of Ocilla and Selby Glen McMillian, Jr. of Cullman, Alabama; three daughters, Teresa Ann McMillian, Charlotte Marie McMillian and Margaret Ann McMillian, all of Alabama; three brothers, Richard McMillian of Tifton, Jimmy McMillian of Ocilla and Danny McMillian of Milledgeville; one sister, Lindsey Sue Dove of Fitzgerald; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
