WELLS- G.E. Marshall-Winston, “GG”,
69 years old
of Wells Maine
died peacefully in her home
on Thursday February 22, 2018
of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
GG was born on 4/22/48 in Concord, MA
was raised in Bedford, MA
by her parents Frank & Bette Martines with
her brother Frank Martines Jr.
she graduated from Bedford High School in 1966
On July 17, 1995 she married her loving, devoted, “the Yang to her Yin” husband, David J. Winston.
GG was born on what became “Earth Day” and it couldn’t be more fitting.
Her love, respect, and appreciation for nature was known to everyone.
She was an Earth activist, and long-time supporter of The Nature Conservancy.
She loved flowers, plants, her gardens, picking blueberries, and feeding the sea gulls at the beach.
Spending time with her god-mother Mary Lentine was one her favorite things to do.
GG volunteered at Hospice of York.
GG is survived by her
husband David J. Winston
daughter April (Marshall) Horne, her husband Jon Horne of Kennebunk, ME
daughter Layla (Marshall) Fabrizio, her husband Mark Fabrizio of Peppered MA
grandchildren Ava & Anya Horne, and Joseph & Max Fabrizio
her parents Frank & Bette Martines of Chelmsford, MA
her brother Frank Martines, Jr. of Temple NH
and first husband Sidney Marshall Jr,
A celebration of her life will be held on Earth Day, April 22, 2018.
