DUE TO THE WINTER STORM MR. DENOMMEE'S WAKE WILL BE HELD AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH SATURDAY, MARCH 3, FROM 9:30 AM TO 12:00 PM FOLLOWED BY HIS FUNERAL MASS AT 12:30 PM

Maurice R. Denommee 81, a resident of Franklin for 55 years, died peacefully, with his family at his side, Saturday February 24, 2018 at Metrowest Medical center in Natick, following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Alice (Orfao) Denommee, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts to Emile Denommee and Alice Provost both deceased. Maurice attended St. Joseph’s High School and Lowell Institute of Technology and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Paper Engineering Master’s Degree Textile Chemistry.

Maurice worked at Natick Labs for more than 30 years and retired as Chief, Materials Research and Engineering Division Protection Directorate.

Maurice was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; belonged to the Knights of Columbus, was a member of the Franklin Advisory Board and the Finance Committee and several other professional organizations.

His hobbies included spending time with his wife and family, reading, cooking, gardening, working on cars, travelling and spending time on Frye Island, Maine; be it time on the lake or on the deck with an interesting read.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Francine Swanson and her husband Gary Swanson of Bellingham, MA Dianne Denommee of Cranford, NJ; Mark Denommee and his wife Jennifer Quinlan of Franklin, MA; Lisa Budnik and her husband Thomas Budnik of Cranford, NJ; Matthew Denommee of Bellingham, MA and Aline Denommee of Franklin, MA and his daughter-in-law Darlene Padula- Denommee of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his son Richard Denommee. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Cameron Denommee, Brendan Denommee, Danielle Denommee, Nicole Denommee, Julia Denommee, Kendall Swanson, Dylan Budnik, Cory Denommee, Rose Denommee and Lucas Denommee as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Laurier Denommee, Denis Denommee and Rita Denommee Rondeau.

Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m.- noon, Saturday March 3, 2018 at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Saturday March 3rd, at 12:30 p.m., St. Mary's Church, One Church Square Franklin. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
