Cesar A. D'Oliveira, a 52 year resident of Charlestown and formerly of Portugal, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in the North End. He was 87 years of age.
Cesar was born in Vila Praia de Ancora, Portugal on January 10, 1931, a son of the late Cesar D'Oliveira and Ermelinda P. (Ribeiro) D'Oliveira. He grew up in Vila Praia de Ancora, Portugal where he was also educated. Cesar immigrated to the United States in 1966 to marry his beloved wife and live the American Dream. Cesar worked as a furniture craftsman for many years in the local area. He was a proud American who took advantage of voting in every election, and was proud that he was able to own his home in Charlestown and to send his daughter to college.
Cesar is the beloved husband of 52 years to Maria Isabel (Pereira) D'Oliveira. He is the devoted father of Elizabeth D'Oliveira and her husband Johnny Lam of Charlestown. He is the loving Pop Pop of Alexander and Isabelle. He is also survived by many loving relatives in Portugal.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cesar's visiting hours on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
