Denise M. Mueller, 63

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Denise M. (Fillion) Mueller, age 63, of Mansfield, formerly of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Milton.

Born in Boston, MA on February 17, 1955, she was a loving daughter of Joan F. (Donahue) Fillion of Norton and the late Ernest J. Fillion, Sr.

Denise grew up in Norton and was a 1973 graduate of Norton High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for over thirty years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.

Denise had worked as a computer operator at Tweave Inc. in Norton and was previously employed for many years at Augat Inc. in Attleboro.

Denise’s favorite times by far were those spent with her cherished family and close network of friends. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening; reading, skiing and she will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted son Charles E. Mueller of Plainville. She was the dear sister of Hank A. Fillion and his wife Linda of Norton, Debra A. Hadley and her husband Kenneth of Norton and the late Ernest J. “Zim” Fillion, Jr. She was the devoted longtime companion of Gary Jackson. She was the adoring grandmother of Collin Mueller and Dillan Mueller. She was the cherished aunt of Michael Fillion and his companion Chrystal Cotter, Kathleen Brancaleone and her husband Richard, and Kelly Longway and her husband Lucas. She is also survived by her close and faithful friends Steven Morse, Susan Harris, Cabrina Anderson, Mary Burns and Betty Swinimer.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Denise’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
