Born November 24, 1941 in Berrien County, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Joseph Abner Miller and Flossie Lewis Miller. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Louise Miller. She was a homemaker and former bookkeeper. She served as a pastor’s wife for many years and was a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member of the church choir. She loved the Lord, her family, her fur-baby, Allie, gardening and shopping.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, the Rev. Terrell Roberts of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Terance Womack, Teresa and Larry Stout, and Terri and Greg Branch, all of Tifton; two grandchildren, Jay Branch and Alexandria Branch; two step-grandchildren and their spouses, Tori and Dallas Bennett and Bobby and Hope Stout; and two step great-grandchildren, Payton Bennett and Carter Bennett.
Mrs. Roberts was a devoted minister’s wife with a discerning spirit. No prayers went undelivered, no sympathy cards or get well cards were omitted. Her grandchildren remember receiving “Get well cards” if they missed school with a cold or any kind of sickness. Always the care-giver and never asking for anything in return. She gave love and received love. She “WAS” the fruit of the spirit. She displayed love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control as written in Galatians. She not only believed in the Proverbs verse, “A Good Name is rather to be chosen than Great Riches”, she lived it every day of her life. Her wisdom and knowledge, kind spirit and devotion to her husband, her church, her children and grandchildren will be treasured forever. Thank you, Glenda, for the outstanding example and teacher you were! May she rejoice in heaven with her one true love, Christ Jesus.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P. O. Box 747, Tifton, GA 31793.
