Mr. Michael S. Recupero, a resident of Medford, surrounded by his family, passed away at his home, following a brief illness, on Saturday morning, February 17, 2018. He was 47 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 30, 1970, he was the beloved son of Roberta A. Hackett and her husband James Hackett of Tewksbury. Mr. Recupero was a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1988.
Michael had been employed by Star Market for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Boston professional sports teams, reading and going to concerts. He also loved being on his computer and collecting baseball cards. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his mother and step-father, Roberta and Jim, he is survived by his siblings; Derek A. Recupero, Mark J. Recupero and Paul M. Hackett, all of Tewksbury and Kimberly T. and her husband Seamus McMeel of Manchester, New Hampshire and Jennifer M. Torna of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Michael was predeceased by his father James F. Recupero.
His funeral service will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
