Anna M. Lavallee, age 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Feb 18, 2018 at Wingate of South Hadley. Anna was born in Chicopee on July 26, 1926 to the late Jacob and Caroline (Niemiec) Pelczar. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Church in Chicopee and was a former Board of Director for the Ward 3 Social and Civic Club. She worked as a tester for the former F.W. Syckles Co. Anna loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Anna leaves 1 daughter Theresa Jeznach and her husband Edward of Auburn; 3 sons Richard Lavallee and his wife Eva of Chicopee, James Lavallee of Colorado, and Paul Lavallee of Chicopee and 4 grandchildren Karen Fowler, Dawn Padanyi, David Frederick and Danielle Labonte; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Lavallee who passed away in 2009; 2 brothers Edward and Frederick Pelczar and 1 sister Dorothy Karakla. A Funeral Service will be held on Fri, Feb 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on the morning of the funeral on Fri, Feb 23, 2018 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA.
