Stella (Natale) Forti, 92, of Franklin, died February 16 in her home following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Dominick J. Forti who died in 2015.
Born in Boston, December 9,1925, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella (Nazzaro) Natale, Stella was raised in East Boston and had lived in Hyde Park and Hyannis prior to moving to Franklin 14 years ago.
Stella was an avid reader and a devoted member of St. Mary’s Parish in Franklin.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ponzo and her husband Charlie of Cape Coral, Florida, Elaine Provenzano and her husband John of Norwell, Barbara Hogan and her husband Richard of Elkridge, Maryland and Donna Swift and her husband Dean of Franklin.
She is also survived by her sisters, Annette DeSimone of Danvers and Frances Abbatte of Naples, Florida.
Stella is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22 in St. Mary’s Church at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
