Dorothy A. McAvene, 81, formally of Bolton died November 1, 2005 at home. She was the wife of the late Stephen McAvene who died in 1978. Born in Canada, daughter of Gordon and Margaret (Lyons) Patterson, she was employed by Data Terminal Systems of Maynard as an accountant until her retirement.
Survived by her daughter Susan McAvene of Hudson and sister Connie Richards of Bolton, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Stephen and Eric McAvene and sister of the late Otty Patterson. Her funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton F.H., Inc, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 Saturday November 5 , 2005 with a funeral service at 10:30a.m. in the Funeral Home. A calling hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service.
