Madeleine G. Jarret, 89, of Woonsocket died Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the Ballou Home. She was the loving wife of the late Marcel Jarret. They were married in 1954 and shared over 48 years together until his passing in 2002.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Florence (Morel) Baril. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Jarret was employed by Tupperware for over 20 years until retiring in 1984.
She was a longtime communicant of Precious Blood Parish. Madeleine was an avid bingo player.
Madeleine will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a son Richard Jarret and his wife Kathy of Maine and a daughter Lorraine P. Croutear and her husband Dean of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Roger Baril and Andre Baril, Jacqueline Savaria, Pauline Rainone, Julia Hudon and the late Normand “Joe” Baril and Lucien Baril. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday February 24th at 10:00 am Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. .Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
