Eleanor T. "Cis" "Ellie" (Pollack) Santosuosso, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 74 years of age.
Cis was born in Boston on April 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Philip Pollack and Theresa (Collins) Pollack. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1961. Cis was a homemaker most of her adult life always concerned with taking care of her husband and her 3 sons. In her spare time, Cis was very involved in all activities at St. Mary's Parish in Charlestown and took great pride with the many duties she was given to ensure that St. Mary's Church ran smoothly. Her greatest joy in her life were her 6 granddaughters and the special bond she had with each one of them.
Cis is the beloved wife of the late Michael Santosuosso. She is the devoted mother of Michael Santosuosso and his wife Janet of Abington, James Santosuosso and his wife Laura of Charlestown and Steven Santosuosso and his wife Christina of Billerica. She is the loving Grandma to Alison, Rachel, Rebecca, Emily, Vanessa and Jennifer. She is the beloved sister of Robert Rooney and his late wife Patricia of Charlestown, Philip Pollack and his wife Rosa of Texas, William Pollack and his late wife Barbara of Stoneham and the late John Rooney and his surviving wife Sharon of Georgia. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eleanor's Funeral on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
