Richard F. Tomasetti 77, of Franklin, died peacefully, with his family at his side, Thursday February 15, 2018 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Tomasetti, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Born September 4, 1940 in Framingham, a son of the late Clayton R. and Lena (Pasquantonio) Tomasetti, he was a former resident of Framingham, before moving to Franklin.
Richard was raised and educated in Framingham, was a graduate of Framingham South High School and was a Master Electrician, who worked as an electrical instructor for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections for 36 years.
He was a devoted husband and father. Richard enjoyed family vacations to Walt Disney World, fishing on Cape Cod, working on his car, tinkering around his home and yard. He also loved to cook his special recipes, for his family and friends.
He was a member of the Massachusetts Corrections Officers Federated Union and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Pamela J. D’Errico and her husband Donny of Franklin, Julie A. Tomasetti of Bellingham and Andrea C. Tomasetti and her husband Drew Wagner of Holliston.
He was the father of the late Stephen R. Tomasetti and brother of the late Clayton R. Tomasetti, Jr.
Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Matthew & Danielle D’Errico, Leo, Sam and Jake Wagner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday February 21st, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
