Obituary

CLINTON- Anders Hadley Rasmuson, Sr., passed away peacefully at Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts, at the age of 77 years old.

Anders was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann Marie (Bailey) Rasmuson, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Albany, New York on December 18, 1940, he was a son of the late Hadley Anders Rasmuson and Christine (Erickson) Rasmuson. He attended local schools before relocating with his family to Westfield, Massachusetts. There he attended Holyoke Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Anders proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to found R&A Landscaping which he operated for many years.

Anders was a loving and faithful man who enjoyed gardening, the New England Patriots, and country music. He and his wife were devoted members of the Christ Lutheran Church, located in West Boylston. Together they studied to become ministers, devoting their time to spreading God’s word to sick members who were homebound. They also spent time visiting nursing homes, using music as a tool to boost morale.

Special memories were made spending time with his wife at Camp Calument in W.Ossipee, NH. Anders was also a member of the American Legion James R. Kirby Post 50 in Clinton.

Left to forever remember him is his loving wife, Barbara Ann Marie (Bailey) Rasmuson; two sons, Anders Hadley Rasmuson, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly of Fitchburg and Joseph Allen Rasmuson and his wife, Michelle of Ashburnham; a brother, Larry Rasmuson and his wife, Beverly of Largo, FL; four grandchildren, Anders Hadley Rasmuson, III., of Worcester, Christina Jean Rasmuson of Fitchburg, Amanda Ashley Rasmuson of Stow, and Matthew Rasmuson of Ashburnham.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Holly Rasmuson.
