John Daniel "J. D." Goff, 84, of Tifton passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at his daughter's residence in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Glenn Ford and the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mr. Goff will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Born October 3, 1933 in Tifton, Mr. Goff was the son of the late Milton Gerbert Goff and Aline Thomas Goff. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Griffin Goff; a granddaughter, Amber Brooke Clements; a sister and brother-in-law, Carlene and Thurman Gill; and a brother, James Carlton “Buddy” Goff. He retired from Tifton Aluminum Company and was a member of Tift Avenue Church of God. He also served in the United States Navy from 1955-1957,
Mr. Goff is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Clements of Tifton; his grandson, Brock Tyler Clements of Tifton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and Donald Jones of Chula, Virginia “Bootsie” Griffin of Lenox and Mary Nell and Robert Pope of Macon; and a sister-in-law, Eloise Griffin Dampier of Tifton.
