Robert L. Rayner, aged 76 of Bellingham, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was the beloved husband of Jane Ellen (Johnson) Rayner who died in November of 2000.
Robert was born on June 17, 1941 in Needham, MA to the late Robert P. and Laura M. (McCarthy) Rayner.
Robert grew up in Needham and graduated from Needham High School with the class of 1959 he then went on to attend Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a resident of Needham until moving to Bellingham to raise his family in 1963.
Robert worked as a General Contractor and owned his own business where he worked with his son Robert Jr.
In his spare time, Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his three sons, Robert L. Rayner, Jr. of Sebago Lake, ME, Thomas A. Rayner of Bellingham and David E. Rayner of Bellingham. He is also survived by his two sisters Marilyn Moore of Medway and Laurie Fucci of Norwood and his two brothers, Alan Rayner of Medway and William J. Rayner of Needham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 19th from 11:00am – 1:00pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway.
Burial will take place privately.
