Claire T. (Coulombe) (Lemay) St. Gelais, 83, of Goffstown, NH passed away peacefully at her winter residence in Seminole, FL.
She was the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Michaud) Coulombe.
She was predeceased by her husband, Laurent St. Gelais.
Claire was born in Manchester, NH. She attended St. Anthony's grammar school and public high school.
She had been employed as a dental receptionist for Dr. Paul Berube and then Drs. Ovide and Roger Lamontagne until her retirement.
She was active in the Parish of the Transfiguration in Manchester.
She enjoyed volunteering for the Food Pantry; as a greeter at masses; and helping out with other parish events serving the Lord. She lived life to the fullest until she fell asleep, always doing what she could to help people and going to social events with various ladies' groups and church groups.
Her siblings include: Pauline Lemay and her spouse, Eugene; Robert Coulombe; Dick Coulombe and his wife, Helene; Theresa Parkinson and her partner, Clive Holmes; Robert St. Gelais; Terry St. Gelais; and Pauline St. Gelais.
She was predeceased by her younger brother, Ernest Coulombe and two
brother-in-laws: Raymond St. Gelais and Paul St. Gelais.
Claire has six children: Donald Lemay and his wife, Brenda; Denise Penaskovic and her husband, Kenneth; Diane Boucher and her husband, Don; Denis Lemay and his wife, Cindy; Susan Bowman and her husband, Dan; and Philip St. Gelais. She has three stepchildren: Laurent (deceased), Denis (deceased) and David. She has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
A memorial mass was held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole, FL on February 7th where most of her siblings and and many friends were able to celebrate her life.
Calling hours will be at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH on Sunday, March 25th from 2 pm to 4 pm.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26th at 10 am in Parish of the Transfiguration.
Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
