New Bedford – Gary Herman, age 65 of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Taber Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Eileen T. (Estrella) Herman. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Michelle (Gordon) Anmahian and Irwin H. Herman.
Gary had been a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; brothers, Alan Herman and Bruce Herman; step-children, Timothy W. Platt, Theodore H. Platt, Thomas J. Platt and Deborah Platt, sister-in-law’s, Lucille O’Connell and Leonora King, niece Rebecca Herman and nephew Nathan Herman
Gary’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M with a service to take place at Perry Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
