WESTBORO/DUDLEY – Katherine S. (O’Bara) Kane, age 93, formerly of Westboro and Dudley, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, in St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville. Her husband of 40 years, George P. Kane, died in 1980.
She leaves a son, George J. Kane and his wife Judy M. of Pensacola, FL; 3 grandchildren, Daniel P. Kane, Samantha E. Kane and Jessica A. McMath; a sister, Stephanie H. Scanlon of Webster; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, John, Walter, Joseph and Stanley O’Bara and a sister, Helen G. O’Bara.
She was born in Grafton, daughter of Vincent and Mary (Lisak) O’Bara.
Mrs. Kane attended Grafton High School. She was a former member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westboro and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Westboro, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, Nov. 4, in the funeral home.
