PORTER- Flossie A. Verrill, age 57, of Porter, lost her courageous battle with liver cancer and passed away on Feb. 13, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Portland on Feb. 15, 1960, a daughter of the late Ronald Sr. and Geraldine (Snowe) Guilbault.
After graduating from Sacopee Valley High School, Flossie went on to work at the Kezar Falls Woolen Mill and Vulcan Electric.
She enjoyed baking, assisting with fundraisers for the Kezar Falls Fire Department, and helping her Husband in his wood shop. For many years she made hundreds of Christmas wreaths a year, usually after working her shift at the mill. However, being with her beloved family was most important to her, especially her Grandchildren. Flossie was also there for anyone who needed someone or something, especially children. Although she only had one biological child, many local children called her Mom.
Flossie was a proud 10 year survivor of breast cancer.
She is predeceased by her parents, Inlaws Clifford and Judith Verrill Sr and a sister- Debbie Harris.
Flossie is survived by her beloved husband- Clifford Verrill of 40 years; son- Scott Verrill and his wife Christina of Gorham; siblings- Ronald “Butch” Guilbault, Richard Guilbault, Laura Emmons, and Penny Thorne; sister in law- Mary Ferrante of Standish; grandchildren- Brandon and Jason; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2-3 PM on Friday Feb. 16, followed by 3 PM funeral at Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St. Cornish.
