James H. Inman, age 70, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
Born in Attleboro, MA on June 18, 1947, he was a loving son of the late John H. Sr. and Dorothy E. (Warburton) Inman and the stepson of the late Dorothy L. Inman.
Jim grew up and was educated in Mansfield and Foxboro. He had worked as a technician at the Automatic Machine Company in Attleboro for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1992.
A resident of Norton for thirty years, he attended the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. When younger, Jim was a part of Dick Inman’s stock car racing pit crew at the former Norwood Arena and was a former flea market vendor at Jolly Cholly’s in North Attleboro.
Jim’s hobbies included playing poker and bingo, but most of all he loved spending time amongst family and friends.
He is survived by his loving aunt Patricia M. Cataloni of Mansfield. He was the dear cousin of Charles V. Warburton of Plainville, Diane L. Cataloni of Mansfield, Jessica J. Cataloni of Mansfield and the late Tara C. Cataloni. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles and cousins, including his aunt Lynn Armstrong.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, February 19th at 12:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Monday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
