Jacquelyn Kollock Roberts, 78, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 16, 2018, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, with the Rev. David Ash officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Roberts was born September 22, 1939, in Osierfield, Georgia, to the late Walter & Rachel Walsh Kollock. She was a 1958 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Roberts was a secretary for Parks and Historic Sites with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for 23 years. She was also a homemaker. She loved to fish and ride horses. She also enjoyed shopping. Mrs. Roberts was an all-star pitcher for the Bethlehem Baptist Church softball team. She was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby Roberts of Fitzgerald; two sons, Keith Evitt of Fitzgerald and Vic & Lolita Boney of Fitzgerald; four grandsons: Daniel Boney, Malachi & Tina Boney, Jonathan & Lindsey Boney, and Jeremy & Shana Boney; and four great-grandchildren: Austin Johns, Brooke Johns, Dillian Johns, and Tyler Johns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Laurine Gibbs, Charlie Lawrence, and Frances Young; and a brother, Marshall Perry Kollock.
