
Richard H. Pierce, 73 years of Brockton died Sunday October 30, 2005 morning at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Robert F. and Lillian (Brooks) Pierce. He had been a life long resident of Brockton and attended Brockton Schools. He enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War, he was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. For over 30 years he had been employed as a Cab Driver for local cab companies.
He is survived by eight children, Karen Pierce, Cheryl Lightford, Michael, Patricia “Sissy”, Scott, Lori, Diane and Richard Pierce all of Brockton, three stepsons, James Pike of Brockton, Robert Pike of Stoughton and William Pike of Brockton and many grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many friends.
He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Parker) Pierce and brother of the late Robert F. Pierce
A Memorial Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 12noon.
