Shirley L. Bockman, 85, of Berlin, passed away on Monday February 12, 2018 at her home. She was born in Berlin on November 27, 1932 the daughter of Adolphe and Elsie (McCray) Loven and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High School and had been employed a healthcare worker, a chamber maid, worked at American Skate and at the Towel Room at Brown Company. Shirley was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, crafting, gardening and camping.
Family includes her sons Michael Bockman of Berlin and Steven Bockman and wife Karen of Berlin; grandson Myles Chouinard of Berlin; brother Robert “Butch” Loven and wife Karen of Dummer and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Bockman in 1971, an infant daughter, Debbie Bockman and siblings Helen Mainguay, Pauline Loven and William Loven.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 16, 2018 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9 to 11 AM, prior to the service.
