Obituary

Wilford D. Leach, 93, of Chesterfield, died February 10, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield.

Wilford was born June 29, 1924 in Stomping Ground, Kentucky, the son of Harry and Lillie (Covington) Leach. He worked for Indiana Gas for 38 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 -1946.

He attended Parkview Wesleyan Church. He was a current member of Daleville Masonic Lodge; former member of Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite; Murat Temple; Shrine Club; V.P. of the Chamber of Commerce; past commander and lifetime member of American Legion Post 408; President of Chesterfield Town Board; VFW; 40/8; Little League manager for 9 years and was involved in many other organizations. He enjoyed helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet (Dennis) Leach whom he married May 24, 1980, his three children, Connie Myer of Anderson, Cary (Angie) Chase of Middletown, Curt (Debbie) Chase of Crestwood, KY, sister, Annie Summey of Danville, IN; five grandchildren, Justin (Jenny) Chase, Brian (Kathleen) Chase, Jeremy (Sarah) Chase, Christopher Chase and Lake Jackson; five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, Harry "Boot", Roy, Gene and Bob Leach and grandson, Travis Myer.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Bronnenberg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Parkview Wesleyan Church.
