Obituary

Leotis Scoggins Camp, 96, of Turner County passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church in Turner County with the Rev. Ray Johnson officiating. Mrs. Camp will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County. The family will receive friends Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bethel Baptist Church in Turner County.

William Oliver, Kenny Scoggins, Leroy Self, Bennie Metcalf, Larry Camp and Buck Dominey will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Scoggins and Jim Taylor.

Born April 16, 1921 in Hart County, Mrs. Camp was the daughter of the late James Scoggins and Effie Leo Smith Scoggins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Vernon Camp. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Camp is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, D. Vernon Camp and Helen Reida of Byron and Alfred and Becky Camp of Abilene, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Jim Taylor of Crystal River, Florida; four grandchildren, Stephanie Daniel, Lori Camp, Rich Traylor and Caryn Taylor Ready; and seven great-grandchildren, Ian Daniel, Connor Daniel, Spencer Daniel, Brittany Martin, Logan Martin, Mallory Traylor, Madison Traylor, Grayson Traylor and Jaxon Taylor Burris.
