BUXTON- Penelope "Penny" Brown Reed 61, passed away peacefully Friday February 9th at the Gosnell House in Scarborough, ME. Penny was born to Gene and Claudia (McCormack) Brown on October 28th 1956.
Penny worked most of her life in retail until she had to retire due to her health. Penny loved playing poker, games on Facebook and pogo, but most of all, she loved her family.
Penny loved her family more than anything. Penny leaves behind her husband of 34 years, Anthony Reed. They have three children Jennifer and her husband Michael of Owasso, OK, and Christina and Scott of Buxton, ME. Penny was predeceased by her parents Gene and Claudia. Penny had 3 siblings Cynthia Leighton and her husband Ron of Buxton, ME, Michael Brown and Belinda Pruitt both of Owasso, OK. Penny had six grandchildren Nicole, Desirae, Seth, Cassandra, Mason and James. Penny also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held Monday Feb 12th from 6pm to 8pm at the Vineyard Church in Westbrook, ME.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Maine 180 Rt One Scarborough, ME. They took amazing care of her at the Gosnell House.
