Obituary

Tyler Aaron Bale
November 30, 1984 - January 21, 2018

Tyler Aaron Bale, 33, of Carmel, IN passed away on January 21, 2018 after an extended illness.
Tyler was born November 30, 1984, at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis to Teresa Sue (Passwater) and Thomas E. Bale, of Carmel, IN.

Tyler was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa, on July 30, 2014, who passed due to cancer.

Tyler is survived by his father, Thomas, his grandmothers, Martha Passwater and Norine Bale, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tyler, who graduated from Carmel High School in 2003, developed two passions during his life golf and fly-fishing. Tyler's passion for golf started at four and was nurtured since he was twelve, by several years playing golf on the Indiana Golf Association Junior and Masters Tours where he won numerous tournaments, developed friendships throughout the State, and created cherished memories. Tyler played four years on Carmel High School's Golf Team helping lead the team to the State finals each year.

In 2003/4, Tyler attended Barry University on a golf scholarship. Barry is located in Miami Shores, FL, and is a member of the Sunshine State Conference. As a freshman, Tyler shot the lowest tournament score during the year of any team member, a 68 at Grandezza in the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational, finishing second in the tournament individually. Tyler then helped lead Barry to its first ever NCAA Finals and a Third Place Team finish. In the process, Tyler finished 6th individually at the NCAA Super Regional in Springfield, MO, a team best, while the Team finished 2nd, and then finished 16th individually in the NCAA finals at Victoria Hills, second best on the Team.

In addition to his IGA, high school and college careers, Tyler was a four time Club Champion, consecutively at Stony Creek Golf Club in Noblesville. During summers, Tyler enjoyed teaching junior golfers at junior golf clinics at Stony Creek Golf Club and Plum Creek Country Club.

Tyler also had a passion for fishing as taught by his Grandpa Joe when he was three. But fly-fishing
for trout was his real passion, having had wonderful experiences at State College, PA, Jackson Hole,
WY, Smokey Mountain National Park, Telluride and Rocky Mountain National Park. Tyler absolutely
loved the challenge of outmaneuvering and outsmarting a beautiful Rainbow, Brown, or Cutthroat,
always releasing his beautiful prize back into the clear, cold water in the spectacular mountains.
