Lawrence "Larry" William Doyle, age 49 of South Weymouth passed away peacefully at the Pope Nursing Home on February 8th following a battle with liver disease. He is a graduate of Boston College High School and Babson College. He worked for State Street Bank for over 27 years, ascending to Vice President, Business Architecture for State Street Investment Manager Services.
He was the beloved and devoted Son of Richard and Mary [Curran] Doyle. Favorite Brother of James Doyle and girlfriend Lisa King. He had wonderful relationships with his many uncles & aunts: Michael & Anne Curran, Frank & Jackie Curran, Martin and Myriam Curran, Brian & Kathy Kelley and Diane Curran and the late Richie Curran. His many cousins will miss him at the “Kids’ Table”: Brian & Christina [Curran] Warne, Christopher & Renae Kelley, Jason Fell, Richard & Jocelyn Curran, Jr., Sean Kelley, Miguel and Marisa [Curran] Serrano, Rob & Meredith [Kelley] Peters and Allyson Curran.
Larry was a passionate fan of all the Boston sports teams. He enjoyed spending time hosting friends and family at his vacation home in Venice, Florida. In his younger years he spent a lot of time playing hockey, baseball and golf.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Larry on Monday, February 12 from 4-8pm in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), South Weymouth, MA 02190. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on February 13 at 8:30am for a celebration of life prior to the Funeral Mass which will take place at 9:30 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, South Weymouth, MA 02190. Internment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 398 Pleasant St, South Weymouth, MA 02190.
