GUNN, Frances G. (Farrell) of Winthrop, passed away on February 7, 2018 after long and courageous battle with dementia. She was 89 years old. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late James P. Gunn. Born in Lowell, she was the cherished daughter of the late Francis and Florence (Dillon) Farrell. Devoted mother of Matthew F. Gunn and his wife Jeannie of Arcata, CA, Timothy Gunn and his wife Patricia of Winthrop, Jamie Gunn and his partner Jeff Swindlehurst of Winthrop and Karen M. Gunn and her companion John Miccichi of Winthrop. Adored grandmother of Timothy F. Gunn and his wife Marissa, Ashley Gunn-Rodriguez and her husband Bruno, Francis P. “Bub” Gunn and his fiancé Nicole, Brittany F. Gunn and her boyfriend Michael, Matthew F. Gunn and his wife Barbara and Shanna R. Gunn and her boyfriend Christopher. Loving great-grandmother of Valentina Rodriguez, Mateo Rodriguez, Landon Gunn, Logan Gunn, Giacobe Gunn and Cole Doyle. Dear sister of the late Eleanor Sheehan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP on Friday, February 16, from 8-9:30am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited.
