Obituary

Joseph A. Lacorti, age 83, a Woburn resident for fifty-one years, passed away Tuesday, November 1st, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis E. (Morgan). Born in East Boston he was the son of the late James and Virginia (Maunucci) Lacorti.

Mr. Lacorti honorably served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945 during WWII. He worked for many years as a structural steel draftsman retiring just over a year ago. He was very devoted to his family and enjoyed being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Mr. Lacorti was very active at St. Barbara Church in Woburn and was member of the St. Barbara's Men's Club . He was also a member of the Arlington Men's Club. Mr. Lacorti was very talented and enjoyed gardening, tennis, music, and painting works of art. It has been requested that as an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Catholic Charities, 75 Kneeland St., Eighth Floor, Boston, MA 02111.

In addition to his late wife and parents, He is predeceased by his sister, Marie Lonnergan, brothers, John Lacortiglia and Thomas LaCorte. He is survived by his devoted children, Cynthia Dabrowski and her husband Casimir of Warner, NH, Loretta Verrecchia of Winchester, and Joyce Gorman and her husband Robert of Groveland. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Elaina, Ryan, Lisa and Seth Gorman, Brad and Joel Verrecchia, Elizabeth Dabrowski, Katherine Colman and her husband Lcpl Brock Colman USMC. He is further survived by his son-in-law Donald Verrecchia of Winchester, and brothers, Charles LaCorte of Walpole and James LaCorti of East Falmouth.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Saturday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 6-9. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
